FAQ REGARDING THE LYFT VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS TO UBER
My car is too old for Lyft but it’s in a good condition. Will Lyft accept it?
Lyft makes no exception on model year requirements. Even though your car is in good state, it won’t be accepted by Lyft.
How much body damage can my car have?
It depends upon the inspection officer to determine whether the car damage is severe or not. According to them, fist-sized dings or dents are acceptable but anything severe than that is not.
Do I need any special permits to drive for Lyft?
In some cities, you have to exert special permit to drive for Lyft. Lyft will give you instructions on how to obtain any necessary permits.
My car qualifies now, but can it become too old later on?
Lyft typically updates their model year requirement yearly and disqualifies cars that become too old. For example, if the model year requirement in your city is 2007 or newer this year, next year it might become 2008. In that scenario, a model year 2007 vehicle would become too old for the Lyft platform and no longer qualify. Lyft will typically warn you a few months in advance that your car is aging off of the platform.
What about the other standards? Is there flexibility?
Standards like tires, windows, lights, AC and heat are mandatory. You might be able to slip by with broken AC or a non functioning feature or two if the inspector doesn’t look closely, but in the long run your passengers will notice and you’ll get low ratings. It’s better to fix your car now then to get hired only to get fired after your passengers complain about your car.
We ensure to give you all the details regarding insurances and ways to secure a more premium and healthy lifestyle through different career options with their objectives and functions.

However, there’s no collision coverage. This signifies that if you meet an accident and need to repair your vehicle, you’re going to have to pay from your pocket. Thereby, it’s advisable to purchase a collision policy to cover these types of claims. For example: If you get into an accident and you’re not at fault, you can file claim against the third party for property damage.

REGISTERING A TLC NYC VEHICLE
Liability policy:
The combination to all the coverages that are mentioned below are referred to as a liability policy. Its minimum requirements are:
- PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION (PIP): As mentioned previously, it provides coverage on a standard auto liability policy which covers medical expenses, lost earnings and other related expenses for drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Therefore, it’s also referred to as «No Fault».
Howbeit, this coverage doesn’t apply to TLC vehicles’ drivers. Drivers who drive under the category of Black Car Bases such as Uber, Lyft, etc are covered under the Black Car Fund. Drivers who drive for Car Service/Livery Base (most Green Taxis) are regarded by Independent Livery Driver Benefit Fund (ILDBF).
These funds provide similar coverage as PIP. Also, review your base’s membership, coverage, exclusions and terms for your own betterment. If you want driver coverage too, then you can also consider applying for workers compensation insurance.
- LIABILITY COVERAGE: It covers your legal liability to others for property damage or bodily injury in the case of a loss.
- UNINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE: It protects you when there’s an accident involving an uninsured vehicle. The minimum limits of coverage in NY are $25,000/$50,000 i.e. the insurance carrier will pay a maximum of $25,000 for any one person or a maximum of $50,000 for two or more people.
Age restriction:
Your insurance companies require drivers to be at least 18 years old.
Steps to follow:
- Purchase/lease an approved vehicle: It’s the first step. However, in order to complete the first step, you’ll need a copy of your bill of sale or lease agreement for insurance purposes.
For every license classes of TLC such as black car, livery or taxi, there’re different requirements. Black Car base category include app companies like Lyft, Gett and Uber. If you want to drive for one of these companies, then you’ve to purchase a vehicle of 7 model years or newer.
A note to be remembered: If you buy a brand new vehicle that has less than 500 miles on the odometer, you don’t have to go to TLC inspection but for visual inspection.
- Select a TLC base to be associated with: You’ve to tie up your vehicle with a TLC approved dispatch base. Uber, Lyft and Gett have their own TLC registered black car bases. Contact your chosen base to get the base letter which means that you want to affiliate with your chosen base.
- Purchase TLC minimum required insurance: If your vehicle supports less than 8 people then, you’ll need to purchase commercial liability insurance. It’s minimum limits are $100,000 per person, $200,000 in no-fault coverage, $300,000 per accident in bodily injury liability and $10,000 in property damage liability. These are minimum levels of insurance therefore, it’s better to purchase higher coverage.
A note: TLC doesn’t require collision coverage but it doesn’t mean that there’s no need to purchase it. Once your policy is issued, you’ll receive an FH1 (for-hire vehicle certificate). It’s a certificate of insurance that names the TLC as a certificate holder and has a declarations page showing your coverage.
- Prepare your TLC vehicle license application: After preparing your documents, you’ve to submit the application to the TLC.
There’re two ways of handling the situation. First, you can file the application in person or online without having to visit the TLC office. Just select «Apply for a new license and select vehicle» and then, follow the instructions to upload the required documents. Second, after your application is processed, you’ll be provided a plate letter which allows you to register your car at the DMV.
- Get your TLC plates and schedule an inspection: You can now take your plate letter given by TLC along with your insurance documents and bring it to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) location. Register your vehicle and then, get TLC plates. Put your plates on your vehicle and drive! However, if you purchase a used vehicle with more than 500 miles on the odometer, you’ll need to arrange an inspection. For that, contact your base that you’re allied with to schedule an appointment.

Becoming
TLC driver
in New York City
DETERMINING IF BECOMING TLC
DRIVER IS RIGHT FOR YOU
Advantages:
There are many advantages of becoming a TLC driver. These are:
- Meeting new people everyday and getting a chance to know them.
- No paperwork or spending/wasting your time with your annoying co-workers or micro-management.
- The job doesn’t lead to any physical straining.
Benefits of becoming an Uber driver:
With a continuous battle with the other companies, Uber thrives for the attention of both the riders and drivers. Fortunately, this competition means that the rideshare service offers benefits to earn and maintain their drivers’ loyalty. Some of these Uber offers include:
- Rate transparency: Being honest about the base rates for each area. It allows drivers to see the estimated fare for each trip before accepting the ride, which in turn helps them to properly plan their time and money budget.
- Scheduling freedom: Drivers are able to set their own hours wherein they can work full-time or use the service to compliment their earnings from another job. It provides them the freedom to set and reach their financial goals without being held back.
- 24/7 support: Providing total support to the drivers through the online help center or giving ability to access a support representative directly through the app at any time, ensures security to the drivers.
- Driver rewards: It includes discounts on vehicle maintenance and cell phone service as well as financial management tools and health insurance.
Dis-advantages:
With every pros, there are cons as well. Freedom of being able to do however you want, can lead to bad work routines such as:
- You may find it easier to stay in bed during surge times and skip-out on high-profit time periods despite needing the money to pay the bills.
- Another most important issue to take in view is the customer satisfaction. Being patient is the most ruling aspect of this profession therefore, if you lack patience to deal with unruly customers then, this might not be the best profession for you.
- The need to socialize and remain confident among strangers also comes in handy.
TLC driver’s restrictions:
Unlike many ridesharing companies, Uber offers the largest coverage area. It spans in more than 600 cities around the world. The company has set standards which are required by the drivers to obey. In addition to it, local municipalities can also put restrictions on the service which makes hiring process more strenuous in those areas.
TLC driver’s alternatives:
Uber and Lyft are the most common rideshare companies in the industry. Though their eligibility requirements are similar, howbeit, if you don’t qualify for one, you can still be approved by another. Nevertheless, delivery services like Uber Eats and Postmates, have fewer restrictions in place. That is, you can also become a delivery driver for Doordash/Instacart.
SALARY EXPECTATIONS
There are multiple factors that play into your prospective earnings as a TLC driver:
Base rates:
Uber determines the earnings of their drivers. The company sets base rates for every location that are based on the type of Uber product you’re offering. For every ride, you’ll earn the base fare for every booking plus a certain amount per minute and mile of the journey.
Surge pricing:
During extremely fussy periods, Uber offers you increased earning power with surge pricing. In other words, surge fares are enforced when ride requests in an area exceed that of the available drivers. In such cases, Uber temporarily increases your rates and thus, offers you the chance to multiply your earnings.
Weekly bonuses and promotions:
Uber also offers weekly bonuses and promotions. These bonuses can add several hundred dollars to a your paycheck.
Demand of riders:
Also, you’ve to consider the average demand for riders. Big and developing cities offer a near constant need for TLC driver but the demand in the smaller locations fluctuate on the basis of the time of day, the day of the week, and the local events that are happening. Therefore, it’s more like a challenge for rideshare drivers to estimate their likely earning.
ELIGIBILITY
Before you set your mind on the prospect of becoming a TLC driver, it’s important that you verify if you can meet the company’s minimum standards.
Uber will verify these requirements during the application process by running a complete background check. This task involves reviewing both your driving record and criminal history. To verify the safety and quality of your vehicle, they also require a full inspection before you begin working with their service. The basic Uber driver requirements comprises:
Age factor:

A BUSINESS OWNERS POLICY
Business Owners Policy (BOP) is a combination commercial policy that covers:
- property,
- general liability,
- business interruption.
It’s used specifically for small businesses such as:
- hardware stores,
- barbershops,
- greeting card shops,
- accountant offices or low-density apartment houses.
This insurance has to be followed under strict guidelines including maximum allowable square footage for office, retail or apartment risks.
RATINGS OF COMMERCIAL POLICIES, SELECTION OF DEDUCTIBLES AND DEVELOPMENT OF PREMIUMS
Ratings:
The policy premium is developed through the way a policy is rated. Rating factors are based on the line of insurance you’re purchasing.
If you’re purchasing commercial property insurance, the building rating formula is based on factors like:
- square footage,
- type of construction,
- sprinklered or non-sprinklered,
- the fire protection classification.
If you’re purchasing general liability insurance, the rating formula can be based on the factors such as:
- square footage,
- payroll,
- gross sales depending on the general liability classification codes used.
These are called rating exposures.
Selection:
Once the rating exposures are identified and the deductibles selected, the premium is calculated by a simple formula: rate x exposure = premium.
Development:
The deductible amount you choose will be calculated in the rate. The higher the deductible, the lower the rate. By utilizing higher deductibles, your premium’s cost can be brought down. However, it’s better to not choose overly large deductibles because it can jeopardize your company’s financial future.
COMMERCIAL CLAIMS
Your duties and responsibilities in a claim can become multiple depending on the type of loss your business endures. Therefore, it’s important to remember that your broker-agent should assist you throughout the claims process.
Whether you contact your broker-agent/insurance company directly when filing a claim, you’re required under the insurance contract to report all claims in a timely manner. This allows the insurance company to process the claim and conduct their investigation as quickly as possible.
Commercial claims can be very complex, therefore, it’s important for the company to assess the claim quickly in order to eliminate any situation that could increase loss. This is especially crucial in liability claims, as there can be high dollar amounts at stake.
When claims aren’t controlled early, litigation from third parties can arise. Litigation can be expensive and often ends in a judgement much higher than if an experienced claim representative had handled the claim from the beginning.
You as business owners should be aware that claims loss experience is reflected in the rating formula and thus, directly affects premium costs. By following the duties outlined in your contract regarding claims, you’re a partner with your insurance company in helping to keep claims costs to a minimum, which in turn helps keep your premium costs down.
The better your claims experience, the greater modification allowed to lower your premium.
-
DEDUCTIBLE:
The deductible on a commercial policy is the part of the loss that you’ve to pay up-front before your insurance company pays a claim. Depending upon the amount of the deductible stated in your policy, the insurance company will pay up to the limits of the policy when a claim is covered after you’ve provided the deductible payment. The higher the absolute dollar amount (deductible)will be, the lower would be your premium.
-
LOSS CONTROL:
Through loss prevention and control you can easily decrease the frequency and potential severity of the claims. Your broker-agent will offer suggestions to you on how to best control the loss exposures that are common to your business depending upon your type of business exposure.
He along with your account underwriter claims representative and loss control representative will also create an entire program of loss prevention that includes specific modifications and procedures to follow that can help create a safer workplace. These programs can even include an employee safety program that incorporates awards and suggestions.
Through the implementation of loss control methods, there is protection of the public and workers, and your loss experience improves when the premium costs go down.
TROUBLE LOCATING INSURANCE FOR BUSINESS
Your business can easily obtain insurance from the standard insurance market with the assistance of a qualified broker-agent.
However, if your business has experienced significant losses, it can be considered to be engaged in high-risk operations. One situation could be that you’ve recently started your business therefore, you’re facing difficulties in locating insurance in the standard commercial insurance market. Though in this case, your broker-agent can explain the options you may have in seeking and securing commercial insurance elsewhere.
-
SURPLUS LINE INSURANCE:
You can also obtain insurance from the surplus line market when your three applications have been turned down from a licensed commercial insurance carrier. Surplus Line insurance companies aren’t licensed by the New York department of insurance. However, they do have to go through an approval process that includes providing evidence of minimum capital and surplus requirements.
Nevertheless, when these requirements are up to the satisfaction of New York department of insurance, it may approve the company to conduct business in New York and subsequently add them to the List of Eligible Surplus Line Insurers (commonly referred to as the LESLI list).
These companies are accessed through a specially licensed broker. The broker must have a surplus line license issued by the New York department of insurance in order to sell surplus line insurance. Before purchasing insurance from a surplus line insurance company, your broker must provide you with a disclosure notice under CIC Section 1764.1 that the insurance you are buying is being issued from a surplus line.
Although surplus line insurers must follow the Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, the New York department of insurance has limited jurisdiction over the operation of surplus line insurers. If the company goes bankrupt, your only course of action will be through the courts.
The New York Insurance Guarantee Association which protects claims with admitted insurers, doesn’t apply to surplus line insurers. A surplus line broker should be able to supply information on the financial solvency of any surplus line company that it represents. After checking the financial solvency of the surplus line company, you may also wish to verify that the surplus line company is approved by the New York department of insurance and currently on the LESLI list.
-

PREPARING TEENS
FOR DRIVING
Driver’s education courses and programs:
The driving habits have already been embodied in the minds of adult drivers. Therefore, the parents might not be potent enough in teaching the driving skills to their children as compared to the professional driving instructor.Tip for parents:
The department of motor vehicles might offer educational courses and materials to help. Also, private lessons are easily available across the country. It’s wise to learn from a well-established driving instructor because anonymous instructors might impart only few long-lasting skills.Learner’s permit and driving with parental supervision:
Many new drivers are required to obtain a learner’s permit before they can apply for their license as per the guidelines laid by most of the states. Also, majority of the states demand a certain number of parent-supervised driving hours logged and recorded by the parent.Tip for parents:
Be calm and composed while teaching driving skills to maintain a good environment. Likewise, it’s imperative to discuss the errors and successes for better driving.Websites, mobile apps and car accessories for safe driving:
There are some apps which monitor the safe driving by the teens. However, these apps operate on a simple premise: lock down the basic functions of the phone such as browsing, calling and texting until the car is at a standstill. Additionally, there are websites which offer entertaining yet fruitful videos and games to enrapture the attention of the teens and also to educate them about safe driving.Tip for parents:
Be sure to ask your insurer about GPS units, dashboard cameras and other gadgets that can track your teen’s driving. These devises are easily available online which not only inform the parents through text or email, when the teen driver strays a certain distance from home but also, notifies about the excess speed limit or erratic driving or a happening of an accident.
Safe driving pledges and contracts:
Create a safe driving contract with your teen driver as it ensures their acknowledgment towards road safety. Setting down specific guidelines and agreements will keep them aware of right and wrong and will further set specific consequences in case of contract-breach. In order to view a sample contract, contact USRULES OF THE ROAD
It’s important for teen drivers to be acquainted to both the rules and regulations around operating a motor vehicle as well as the unwritten rules of the road for safe driving habits.-
New driver laws:
- Curfews: Most of the states impose curfews on teen drivers with an age 18 or below, at weeknights/weekends.
- Seat-belts: Seat-belts are necessary while driving and therefore, it’s required by the drivers and passengers to wear them every time. To ensure more safety and awareness, certain states issue tickets to both unbuckled passenger and driver. Therefore, in order to avoid a hike in auto insurance premiums after such a violation, make sure your teen and his friends are buckled up.
What to do if a police officer pulls over your teen driver:
Rehearse the procedure in advance: Practice these following steps with your teen to prepare them for when getting stopped by an officer:- Keep all current registration and insurance cards in an easy to find place: A brightly colored envelope or pouch in the glove box.
- Keep hands on the wheel and stay clam: In a situation where your teen gets pulled over, certain actions can land your teen into the suspect list of the police such as moving around or shuffling in his seat or fidgeting inside the car.
- Be polite and give brief answers when questioned: Most teens don’t acknowledge their mistakes easily. Also, arguing with a police officer over an “unfair” ticket is not the best way to get off with a verbal warning.
- Apologize and say «please»and «thank-you»: In most cases, an officer has the discretion to give a driver a ticket, written warning or verbal warning. A simple apology and common courtesies can go a long way towards keeping your teen driver’s record clean.
-
What to do in case of an accident:
- Pull off the roadway and turn on hazard lights: Park at a safe spot on the side of the road or in a parking lot before exiting the car. Rather than stopping your car in the middle of the road or intersection.
- Call 911: Call 911 or the local police department even in the cases of minor accident. A police report is highly invaluable to document the case later on.
- Exchange every information: All the information should be exchanged such as the name, address, phone number, driver’s license number, license plate, vehicle year/make/model for all drivers involved in the accident and any witnesses/passengers. For the other driver, get their insurance company, policy number and claims phone number which can be found on their auto insurance card.
- Don’t admit of being guilty: Always leave it up to the police, witnesses and insurers to say who had the right of way and who was at fault.
- Take pictures of everything at the scene of the accident: A wide angle shot showing the whole scene which involves vehicles, license plates, the whole road or intersection as well as close-ups of the damage to vehicles.
- Get statements from witnesses: Do make sure to write down, to record on video or audio and to keep track of the witnesses’ names and phone numbers. They can act as a piece of evidence in cases of a legal dispute.
- After everything has settled, decide whether to file a claim and call your insurer: Check if you can work with the other involved drivers to handle it off auto insurance to keep your teen driver’s rates low. Also, report all damage, repairs and expenses in case you need to open up a claim should the cost of repairs skyrocket.
-
Underage drinking and driving:
- A serious risk: According to the reports of CDC which states — «Teens are less likely than adults to underestimate dangerous situations or not be able to recognize hazardous situations».
- Guilt by association: In most states, there are cases where a teen driver is transporting an underage passenger who has been drinking. Then, both the passenger and driver are fined for underage drinking even if the driver is completely sober.
- Have a serious discussion with your teen: Building a healthy and supportive relation with your children will place your trust in them. In situations especially where they can call you to get a ride if their friends have been drinking. Make sure your teen never gets on a ride with an intoxicated friend or instead drive while drunk.
GETTING STARTED: AN EASY PRIMER
Know your timing:
Your existing auto insurance company will contact you through the information you have registered when you first signed up your policy. In any case, if they don’t contact, it’s your duty to alert your carrier once your teen attains a learner’s permit to talk through the options and to give yourself time to compare every auto insurance company. In general, permitted drivers are automatically covered as a part of the parent/guardian’s policy with no action needed on your part, but when they do have a true driver’s license, even provisional, they will need to be on your policy or get their own.-
Get ready to compare quotes:
Understand available discounts:
When you add a teenager to your auto insurance policy or they get their own, auto insurance companies don’t actively communicate what discounts are available to you. Talk to US to know how to use the discount guide.ADDING A TEENAGER TO YOUR AUTO INSURANCE POLICY
Including a teen to your policy is the best yet cheapest way to get your teen insured. It’s true that it’s costly, but you can certainly save if you choose the best auto insurance companies for teens. Here are certain questions answered just for you:How much will adding a teen to my auto insurance cost me?
The circumstance would be different every time, but to get a solid number let’s compare rates in 10 zip codes in each state. The family profile owned a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a 40-year old man buying full coverage. Then add a 16-year old teen to the policy. Here’s what happened:- The average household’s car insurance bill rose 152%.
- A teenage boy was more expensive. The average bill rose 176%, compared with 129% for teenage girls.
- New York rates rose the most, more than 200%.
How to add a teen to your policy?
If you’re choosing a new auto insurance company after shopping, it would be best if you had already added the teen to the policy when first signing up. However, if you hadn’t or/and want to add a teen to your current or new policy, then follow the required procedure:- Call your auto-insurance company if they haven’t contacted you.
- Know and talk about every possible changes to your policy in detail that includes minimum and maximum coverage and also, insist on hearing the ins and outs of each and every discount as these can add up to considerable savings. If you are also adding an additional car, be sure to ask about a multi-car discount.
- Make sure to ask information about your teen’s driver’s license and on new vehicles.
- Decide carefully and calmly. Do make sure that your teen isn’t driving on a full license without being formally added to your policy or their own.
If my teen gets a ticket, will it raise my rates?
The answer is positive. Once together on the same policy, all driving records, including your teen’s, affect premiums, for better or worse. You share in the discounts, and you shall also share in the risk.TEEN BUYING THEIR OWN POLICY
Companies can sell directly to teens, but according to state laws, when it comes to a teen’s ability to sign for insurance, a parent may have to co-sign and it’s hardly cheaper. In fact, your teen will likely have a higher premium compared to adding a teen to a parent or guardian policy. Howbeit, there are cases where it might make sense for a teen to have their own policy. Progressive cites two:- You have a luxury sports car. On a single plan, all drivers, including the teen, are insured against all cars.
- The teen is eager to be financially independent.
AUTO INSURANCE FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
The procedure could be the same for the college students as it’s for the teens. However, there’s a possibility to save. If the student plans to leave their car at home and the college is more than 100 miles away, they could qualify for a «resident student» discount or a student «away» discount. These discounts can reach as high as 30%. Also, doing well in school could lead to a good student discount. Both discounts will require you to contact your insurance provider so they can begin to apply the discounts.LEARNER’S PERMIT INSURANCE
You can get insurance with a permit, but most auto insurance companies include the permitted teen on the parents’ policy without any action. However, the teen should be added to the parents’ policy or get their own policy when they receive their driver’s license. Talk in the chat for more information.INSURING MY TEEN DRIVER: FAQs

They exhibit risky behavior which increases their odds of meeting an accident. But as they grow in age, the rates begin to level out because the accident risk decreases. When does a teen need auto insurance coverage?
You should ask this question to your insurance agent when your teen starts learning to drive. The laws are different from state to state. The majority of car insurance companies require that anyone with a driver’s license in your household be insured. Teens with learner’s permits often don’t need to have their own insurance; however, your state’s laws may differ. Will my premium increase because I added a teen driver?

The key factor in calculating insurance rates is responsibility. Teens can improve their chances of finding auto insurance rates through one of these mediums:- Maintain good grades: Good student discounts are often given to students who maintain at least a B average.
- Clean driving record: Maintaining a clean driving record free of accidents and violations. Parents can also promote safe driving by establishing some ground rules such as for cell phones, passengers and car use.

Also, if your child is heading to a school that is a certain number of miles away from home, they may qualify for a resident student discount, which can significantly lessen your rates. Even if your child comes home for short periods of time or vacations, it may not be necessary to list them on your policy. This will depend on your carrier and your state’s laws.Is my teen eligible for a student discount?
Many auto insurance companies offer good student discounts to reward teens that do well in school. Statistically, good grades equal responsible driving and lower risk. The exact amount of the discount depends on the insurance provider. In order to qualify for a discount, must remember that the teen:- Is under 25 years old.
- Is enrolled in school full-time.
- Has a grade point average of at least 3.0.
-
Does driving a safer vehicle help teens to acquire a more affordable auto insurance?
- Enhanced safety measures.
- Crash protection.
- Larger body.
Is it better to add a teen to my policy or get them a new policy?
The auto insurance is cheaper for teens when they’re added to their parents’ policies. However, it’s smart to get quotes for both, as many factors can come into play. For example, if your teen has a very low-value vehicle, it might be cheaper for him to get his own policy and skip certain optional coverage such as collision and comprehensive.-

But in studies last year, it was found that more than 100,000 FHVs were running on the roads. This cause massive congestion on the roads during rush hours. Furthermore, this number was much higher than the number of yellow taxis on the road. These stats resulted in the decline in the value of the yellow-taxi medallion in NYC. The poor wages and disturbed mental health of the FHV drivers due to excessive pressure was also petrifying.
Why has the bill been restored for FHV?
On the other hand, the congestion during peak hours was cut down by 10 percent. An increase of $172 million in the earnings of the FHV drivers was noted. The minimum wage for FV drivers was set. The FHV companies were required to send data on usage and charges, failing which would result in a fine of $10,000. Since the cap is set to expire on August 2019, the Taxi and Limousine Commission has decided to extend the policies and limits of the legislation. The FHV still occupy 40% of the traffic during peak hours, which is planned to be reduced. In addition to that, the FHV vehicles currently operate at 41% of the time without passengers, increasing congestion. This will be brought down to 31%.Furthermore, the two-yearly medallion fee of $1100 will be waived off yellow taxis. New, interactive Drivers Assistance Centers will also be set up.
